Thursday, October 14, 7 pm – The Hausman Memorial Speakers Series Presents: “Losing Our Sons” which features two inspirational figures: Melvin Bledsoe and Darius Long. On June 9, 2009, Carlos Bledsoe – an African-American from a Baptist family who had converted to Islam murdered Andy Long, a US Army Recruiter in Little Rock, AR. He did it “for Allah.” The film shows how American institutions at every level failed us. Melvin Bledsoe and Darius Long, fathers of both young men, will speak at the event.
