When the presidential ceremonial honor guard silent drill team was invited to compete in an international competition in Norway, you’ll quickly understand why. Even though they were going up against military units from all over the world and NATO, it was no contest and no surprise when the United States was informed that they won first place.

Established back in 1931, this ceremonial unit of the Navy’s primary mission is to represent the service in presidential, private, and public ceremonies in any way that helps show the world how skilled our nation’s warriors truly are. From inaugurations to arrival ceremonies for foreign officials, these men have trained for years in order to successfully perform under pressure.

Please make sure to watch the whole routine. These guys have worked for hundreds upon hundreds of hours in order to show to our country, and to the rest of the world, how incredibly elite our nation’s military prowess truly is. While the rest of the world likes to mock American exceptionalism, when it comes time to put boots on the ground, everyone else looks to us to defend freedom and prosperity to the world.

It’s no wonder that these men won first place, and with men like these defending our borders, we’re sure we’ll be collecting that first place prize for years to come. Great work guys!

Biography

Steven Hall and his wife of 37 years, Janet, moved to Sturbridge in 2006 after spending 22-years raising their family in Wales. Steven is a 1979 graduate of Pathfinder Regional Technical High School. After graduation, he spent 25 years as a machinist and toolmaker. In 2004 Steve graduated from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine with a Baccalaureate of Science in Long-Term Care Administration. He has spent the last 13-years as a Nursing Home Administrator and, more recently, as an independent nursing home consultant.

Besides being instrumental in leading numerous skilled nursing facilities to high clinical achievement and profitability, he is also the inventor and developer of two healthcare safety products.

The second deals with how much government involvement in the economy a person calls for. YOU WILL NOT SEE, OR HEAR, MUCH ABOUT IT EITHER IN THE PRINT-PRESS, OR ON TELEVISION….

Neil Gorsuch has only been on the Supreme Court for a short while. Recently he ignited the fire of liberty and broke 40 years of precedent when he refused to join the SCOTUS “cert pool.”

The cert pool was established in 1973 during the early days of the Burger Court, in order to efficiently review the near 8,000 petitions received each term.

In practice, the petitions are apportioned among the Court’s law clerks, who then circulate a memo to the justices recommending a grant or denial.

The obvious problem here is that this gives the power in these 8000 cases to the law clerks instead of the Justices.

It also, in theory, allows 3rd parties to unfairly influence a case through the clerks.

That is NOT how the Supreme Court was designed to operate. Neil Gorsuch just managed to set his foot down in the Supreme Court and say it is NOT okay to pass off judgments to the discretion of legal clerks. This is the kind of story everyone should be hearing or reading in the media, but obviously we are not.
