Thursday, October 14, 7 pm – The Hausman Memorial Speakers Series Presents: “Losing Our Sons” which features two inspirational figures: Melvin Bledsoe and Darius Long. On June 9, 2009, Carlos Bledsoe – an African-American from a Baptist family who had converted to Islam murdered Andy Long, a US Army Recruiter in Little Rock, AR. He did it “for Allah.” The film shows how American institutions at every level failed us. Melvin Bledsoe and Darius Long, fathers of both young men, will speak at the event. Thursday, October 17, 6:30 pm – Tea Party favorite Trevor Loudon will discuss The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress – his newly released block-buster book. It exposes the widespread communist, socialist and extreme progressive infiltration of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. Of special interest to Massachusetts residents, the book profiles Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey as well as Representatives Mike Capuano, Jim McGovern and John Tierney. Tuesday, October 22, Time TBD – The Greater Boston Tea Party, Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance and Citizens for Limited Taxation will be hosting Cato Institute’s Michael Tanner who recently published a nationwide study that indicated that Massachusetts gives out the 3rd highest welfare benefits in the country.
