The new paintings of the former president and first lady will be hung in the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Former President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were joined by a who’s who of their administration – and some Hollywood types too – for the official unveiling of their portraits at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
‘That’s pretty sharp,’ the ex-president said as he and artist Kehinde Wiley pulled the cloth off Obama’s portrait, which showed the Democrat in a tie-less get-up, seated, surrounded by a floral motif.
Michelle Obama’s portrait, created by Amy Sherald, had been unveiled first, and the former president quickly applauded the artist for capturing the ‘hotness of the woman that I love.’
“The New Deal” was shouted from the roof tops by the Dems many, many years ago. It was associated with National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933. It was for huge amounts of spending on civil and Farm projects.
But the deal MA voters are being offered today is a Diehl of another kind. This Diehl seems to be about cutting spending and being accountable to the taxpayer, I know a novel idea.
Geoff Diehl, a State Rep form Whitman, announced he is a candidate for the MA Senate seat being occupied by Sen Lizzy Warren. She unseated Sen Scott Brown who filled the open seat held by Sen Kennedy. If you remember, it was “The People’s Seat” ..not a Kennedy seat.
Geoff gained great notoriety for his fight against the Graduated Gas Tax bill this would have tied the automatic Gas Tax increases to the Consumer Price Index. Should I point out that gas cost is tied to food prices and other good and services? The end result being inflation and the rising the cost of goods and services .. and of course the Gas Tax would rise again. Do you see the loop here.. it’s a self feeding tax that will keep on giving.
An estimated 2 Billion dollars has been saved by MA Tax payers. The proponents of the Gas Tax spent 31 to 1 dollar on fighting the ballot question.
For those of us who are still in mourning Scott Brown losing the People’s Seat, can Lizzy Warren be unseated?
Is Geoff Diehl the only one who can unseat the far-left, out-of-touch, anti-business Junior Senator from the most Blue, Liberal state in the union? Well, he has name recognition, ability to raise money, a track record a conservative could be happy with. And from what I can understand no “skeletons” or October surprises waiting, but you never know.
But can this married man with two children a supportive wife and solid business background take on the ultra-left, militant atmosphere along with the parasitism media?
What’s the plan? Will the money be there? What is the message? Will he get through the primary? Yes folks their is a Republican primary.

The fact that Schiff fell for this prank is enough that he should step down!
In this audio posted on YouTube by Russian pranksters, Rep. Adam Schiff can be heard discussing claims that the FSB has naked pictures of President Trump. Assume these Russians are involved with intelligence operations.
The Daily Mail reports that Schiff sent his staff to try and collect “classified materials for the FBI” after the prank callers told him Putin has naked blackmail pictures of President Trump.
Schiff can be heard discussing the Russia investigation with a man who claimed to be Andriy Parubiy, the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament.
The call, made a year ago, was reportedly from two Russian comedians nicknamed ‘Vovan’ and ‘Lexus’ who have become notorious for their phony calls to high-ranking American officials and celebrities, including UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Elton John. The call was first reported in The Atlantic’s Jan/Feb 2018 issue, where a spokesman for Schiff said: “Before agreeing to take the call, and immediately following it, the committee informed appropriate law-enforcement and security personnel of the conversation, and of our belief that it was probably bogus.”
“There were pictures of naked Trump,” one of the pranksters told Schiff, explaining that they were obtained by Putin’s goddaughter.
Schiff asks: “And the materials you can provide to the committee and to the FBI, would they corroborate this allegation? … So you have recordings… where they’re discussing the compromising material?”
“Obviously we would welcome the chance to get copies of those recordings,” Schiff tells them. “So we will try to work with the FBI to try to figure out how we can take copies of those… I’ll be in touch with the FBI about this, and we’ll make arrangements with your staff. I think it would be best to provide these materials to both our committee and the FBI. We’ll make arrangements between my staff and yours on how to facilitate that.”
